McKnight’s Long-Term Care News featured Noll Campbell, PharmD, M.S., in its “60 Seconds with …” series. Dr. Campbell discussed the updated American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria®, which identifies medications that are more likely to harm than help older adults. New efforts go further and also recommend not only a comprehensive suite of safer pharmacologic options, but also a strong emphasis on effective non-pharmacologic treatments.
