Regenstrief experts drive global dialogue on AI in healthcare at MedInfo 2025

Regenstrief Institute research scientists and professional staff joined presenters from around the world at the MedInfo 2025 conference from August 9-13, in Taipei, Taiwan. 

The MedInfo 2025 conference, themed “Healthcare Smart x Medicine Deep,” brought together global experts to explore how advancements in biomedical informatics and artificial intelligence (AI) could drive meaningful improvements in healthcare systems and outcomes.  

The event, which had a key focus on leveraging AI to optimize hospital operations, showcased a group of Regenstrief research scientists, a research fellow, an affiliate scientist and staff. Those who presented were:  

The five-day conference also hosted discussions covering AI-powered diagnostic tools, automated administrative processes, smart patient care systems and the integration of AI into all aspects of hospital management. 

MedInfo was established in 1974 and occurs every other year. The conference is a prestigious international event that brings together thousands of digital health leaders and practitioners to the forefront of healthcare and is considered a landmark event on the global calendar.
