  • “Dementia Care Reimagined: Practical Strategies for Better Outcomes” – Dr. Boustani will present findings from the Dementia Digital Detection (D3) Trial in Indiana, which focuses on innovative digital tools to improve early detection of cognitive impairment.
  • “Inspiring and Sustaining an Aging Research Career Through the Ups and Downs of Life” – As a panelist in this research-focused session, Dr. Boustani will join a multigenerational group of researchers to share insights on resilience and career sustainability in aging research.

Additionally, Kathleen Unroe, M.D., MHA, M.S., a research scientist at Regenstrief and principal investigator of the NEXT STEPs initiative, will moderate a panel at the symposium.

  • “Nursing Home Transformation: Building a Research Agenda and Clinical Trials Infrastructure.” This session will discuss the $15.6 million NIA-funded NEXT STEPs program, which aims to build a diverse network of nursing home partners and researchers conducting clinical trials to improve care.

In addition to these presentations, Regenstrief researchers will participate in workshops, symposia and networking events, contributing to national conversations on transforming geriatrics care and research.
