Sarah exemplifies the spirit of the One Regenstrief Award through her excellent work on continually evolving the Learning Health Informatics (LHI) Program and her contributions to helping the Institute develop. Over the past year, Sarah has attacked the task of developing climate, health and informatics research within the LHI Program with vigor, by leading the preparation of several grant applications; helping establish novel collaborations with new disciplines, such as the earth sciences; and developing a systematic strategy for identifying funding opportunities. She continues to lead our team capably, focusing on personal development of each individual staff member, and helping develop and formalize policies and procedures for our collective work. Many of her administrative and managerial capabilities have also benefitted the Institute, especially in helping design and implement strategic improvements in financial management. Finally, Sarah’s can-do spirit and creativity is rare among the many colleagues I had the pleasure of working with. She is truly an asset for our program, CBMI and the Institute!
