In a randomized clinical trial, the STOMP behavioral pain self-management program significantly reduced pain severity and interference in people with HIV compared to enhanced usual care. Participants receiving STOMP reported greater improvements in pain scores both immediately and three months after the intervention, supporting its effectiveness as a tailored approach for chronic pain management in this population.
