In the craziness of the world in 2020, one individual Data Core could depend on to deliver consistent and quality work was Ian Hays. Ian recommended the creation of a “Buddy System” within the Data Core for new hires as we dealt with hiring and training new analysts virtually for the first time. Since it’s implementation, Ian has served as a buddy for 3 new analysts who could lean on him throughout their virtual training. Through personnel changes, Ian stepped in to keep several long-term large projects running smoothly. Ian would frequently volunteer to help with other analyst’s workload when they were out of office or overloaded, all while delivering his own datasets on time and with a smile.
