Jamie Thomas has taken the lead on many projects that support Regenstrief’s mission to “connect and innovate for better health.” Here are just a couple of the many examples where Jamie is making a difference through establishing connections:
- Jamie played a key leadership role in establishing the OpenHIE Steering Committee. This initiative is important as it formally establishes a way for the countries benefitting from the OpenHIE community to provide leadership, and it amplifies their voice concerning needs and how the community can best support them.
- Jamie has also provided leadership to establish an eHealth Leader Forum. While in its infancy, Jamie has played a key role in honing messaging and doing the outreach to meet the health leaders’ goals of connecting across countries and organizations. Jamie leads in a way that brings together people, organizations and countries with diverse needs and fosters community and connection that helps diverse contexts learn from the health projects of others. She also demonstrates the value of connection and community as she leads the rest of the team in building these linkages across boundaries.
