Nicole Fowler

Dr. Nicole Fowler exemplifies the nomination categories, specifically her leadership, collaboration and positive impact on RI. Her leadership skills are what many faculty and staff strive to achieve. The research team she has built retains RI community members for years not only on her projects but grown into other roles across RI. Through her words and actions, she has been a champion of building a positive and results-driven work culture among her team and her mentees. She fosters a work environment that is both welcoming and motivating. She supports cross training among team members and growth of her staff members. Dr. Fowler has developed conducted and disseminated impactful research which spans many university partners across the country. Additionally, her local collaboration efforts include facilitation of partnerships with IU Family Medicine and through her new role as Vice Chair for Research in the IUSM Department of Medicine. It is my honor to be able to nominate Dr. Nicole Fowler for the One Regenstrief Award.
