No one on this campus has thrown themselves into the university, governmental, and policy response to COVID than Nir. He has been a true representative of what the Institute has to offer to the practice of public health. While the governor was giving TV press conferences about the state’s response, Nir was there. He was a leading architect of the nationally recognized prevalence study and at the same time advising our own campus leadership about the restart plan. Throughout all of these he has been both a formal and informal leader on countless teams clearly showing what our institute is capable of doing.
