Regenstrief Institute is searching for a Community Health Research Specialist to join The William Tierney Center for Health Services Research. As a Community Health Research Specialist, you will provide assistance to a core program researching novel community-based educational interventions for high-priority public health problems in the State of Indiana, specifically, infant mortality. The research is led by Dr. Debra Litzelman with a key area of focus on discovering effective and sustainable, community-based practices to support and enable mothers and fathers to engage in behaviors that lower the risk of infant mortality and low birth weight infants.

The Research Scientist acts as a member of the team charged with developing research programs in Health Disparities and Equity (HDE) and Learning Health Systems (LHS) in a collaborative and multidisciplinary effort that will be competitive for multi-disciplinary investigator extramural programs, networks, or other types of funding. The successful candidate will have a history of working in the space of health equity, interventions, evaluations, and is expected to work closely with this team as well as faculty from across Regenstrief Institute, to contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of research projects.

The William M. Tierney Center for Health Services Research located at Regenstrief Institute, Inc. is accepting applications for a Graduate Research Assistant. This opportunity is temporary and part-time for 2024 and 2025, with the potential for extending the position beyond that time. The Graduate Research Assistant will be able to work with the chronic pain outcomes and health services research team embedded within an engaged, mission-focused academic research community. Specifically, the graduate research assistant will assist with the NIH-funded Equity Using Interventions for Pain and Depression (EQUIPD) Study with a focus on implementing nonpharmacologic interventions for chronic pain, health disparities, and health services research methods.
