Dr. Ryan Ellis is a health services researcher with a focus on the optimization of complex cancer care delivery, specifically in patients with malignancies of the liver and pancreas. This includes defining best practices in surgery, hospital and practitioner quality measurement, and intervening on systemic barriers to accessing quality care. He has additional experience in clinical trial development and execution, specifically in improving postoperative outcomes after liver and pancreas surgery. He has co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, including publications in the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA, and has presented at numerous national meetings.
Dr. Ellis is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, Pancreas Club, Society of Surgical Oncology, Surgical Outcomes Club, and American Medical Informatics Association.
