January 7, 14, 21, 28 | AeHIN 7th General Meeting
VIRTUAL
“Strengthening Regional Health Systems Response to COVID-19: Digital Health Experiences in Asia”  The Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN) promotes better use of information communication technology (ICT) to achieve better health through peer-to-peer assistance and knowledge sharing and learning through a regional approach for greater country-level impacts across South and Southeast Asia. The AeHIN General Meeting (GM) is an annual gathering of government, development partners, non-government organizations to discuss the latest trends with digital health governance, architecture, program management, standards, and interoperability. The 7th AeHIN General Meeting, which will be conducted virtually, aims to promote a regional set of principles and call-to-action in adopting digital technologies for pandemics. With networking as its foundation, the annual meeting hopes to be an avenue for knowledge sharing across South and Southeast Asian countries.

March 1-5 | IHE North American Connectathon 2021

March 9-12 | LOINC Conference

May 17-19 | HL7 FHIR Connectathon

An HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) Connectathon features hands-on FHIR development and testing. This is a chance to get your hands dirty and learn by helping evolve the FHIR specification. Participants select one of several tracks based on level of readiness and area of interest, and can engage in hands-on, heads down development and testing. There is an opportunity to work directly with other FHIR developers and senior members of the FHIR standards development team. Participants are expected to write some software intended to demonstrate FHIR connectivity.

The 2020/2021 Edition of the Pan African Health Informatics (HELINA-2021) conference will be held as a blended virtual and in-person conference due to Covid-19. The conference will be hosted by the Uganda Health Informatics Association (UgHIA – https://ughia.org) in partnership with the Makerere University, School of Public Health and the Ministry of Health (MOH), Uganda under the theme “leveraging digital health for public health emergencies within routine care in Low- and Middle-Income Countries”. The main theme for the Conference was inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic and the role that digital health technologies play in such public health emergencies and particularly, their increasing adoption and use during the current pandemic.
